Broken Wings Update and Teaser!

Hey! I'm just checking in hoping everyone got a chance to watch the interview. What did you all think? I hope I was able to answer some of your questions. It was really fun to do the interview but now I have retreated back to my cave to write or should I say write the second draft of Broken Wings. I'm so excited for this book! It's going to be really epic and more 'action-packed' if that's what you want to call it. :) I'm really happy with where the story is going and it will lead well into the third installment of the Flightless Bird Series. But I am not going to give out the name of the third novel just yet, but I will say that the third installment is in the works right as we speak. It's crazy. I'm double tasking and working overtime to work on both. I'm very happy with how it's going to say the least.

Oh! And before I forget to mention, the book cover that Adrienne has been working away at is just about complete and all I can say at the moment is...wow. She did such an awesome job that I just might have to let you guys get a sneak peek when I'm ready to release it. This is definitely a great cover. Oh gee, I guess I'm just so excited about everything with this sequel! :D

There's also been some BIG changes in my living situation. I moved so I spent some time packing and unpacking. Unfortunately Broken Wings had to take the back burner for a few days but now I'm all settled in and am back to work. Still living in the Pacific Northwest. I love it here too much that I don't think I could live anywhere else. At least not for awhile.

So I haven't been up to much but working overtime. But before I go, I can leave you with this little teaser:
“I stood alone with this ultimatum. I had to decide what was worth dying for but then I had to remember that not all that I could be dying for was worth it. With so much at stake, I stared off into the absent air contemplating the adverse effects of whatever I chose. Choices must be made. The battle must be fought. The ultimate sacrifice has to be made. Let the ones you love perish or choose to replace them in death. The choice was mine. I knew what I had to do but I couldn’t help but ask; what truly was worth fighting for and what was worth dying for?”

The Interview

Well hello everyone! I hope everyone has been having a nice week thus far! The interview I had mentioned in the last blog took place on Monday of this past week and should be posted on Friday. It was a really fun interview and I'm glad I agreed to it. I wanted to give you all a little background about who was interviewing me.

Back in high school I had met theses two girls, Savannah and Felicia, who were creating a youtube channel. They most often do comedy sketches because as I recall, they were always laughing amongst themselves at anything and everything, and just recently they asked me to do an interview for their show called SplattPoison. I think the interview was the first semi-serious thing they had filmed. I thought it was great that they offered to interview me and put me on their show. So that will explain the random questions asked in between the serious ones, they do comedy and so there had to be a little fun thrown in the mix of the interview. So I suppose now you will know a few random tid bits about myself that you probably otherwise would have never known. :-) I hope you enjoy it!

I tried to answer most of the important questions and I talk really quiet in the video so you might have to turn your speakers up. I hope I answered any one's questions they might have had. I didn't really answer much about the book in terms of giving away anything (except I did mention my book had NO vampire and NO werewolves. I hope that didn't spoil things for you), I still wanted to keep some secrets for those who haven't read it.
BUT! In the end, I was really glad they offered to do the interview with me. So I hope you guys enjoy the video when its posted and end up having some of your questions answered!

Now in other terms, Broken Wings has just finished its final chapters and it's second revision starts now. After that I just had to send it to my editor and before you know it we have another book! I can't forget to mention that Adrienne has been hard at work on the book cover as well and I can tell you now that what it looks like is already pretty amazing if I must say so myself. The Flightless Bird cover she made was great but Broken Wings is going to be amazing!

On a final note, Flightless Bird just went on sale for $0.99 for all ebook editions! If you haven't downloaded it, download it. If you have friends and family with any sort of ebook, tell them to download it too because this is a great price! How often is a 428 page novel on sale for only 99 cents? Not often! So download your copy because this is a great deal! Tell all your friends and family!

Happy Reading!

September Already?

Alright, so for those of you who haven't heard yet, I have an interview coming up! If anyone had any questions concerning Flightless Bird or its upcoming sequel Broken Wings to email me at: ulrichauthor@gmail.com. But the interview is tomorrow so whatever questions come in are the ones that come in! I'm really excited to answer some questions people may have and considering that this is my first official interview, I'm definitely all smiles right now. Can't wait to see what the interview is going to be about? Well, it's going to be a video interview so everyone will be able to watch and see what questions I've answered. Naturally they will be questions concerning my writing, Flightless Bird, and Broken Wings. Oh I'm so excited! The video interview will be posted on Friday. I will try to post it here but no guarantees exactly. But I can guarantee it will be posted on the Flightless Bird facebook page and on youtube! So mark your calenders for Friday the 9th!

So that's good news but I also wanted to apologize for not exactly being the most up-to-date blogger on the planet. I try to keep you guys updated on the progress of my books and I think I'm doing a decent job but I will try to get better at it. :-) I've just been working away at Broken Wings so much that sometimes I forget to be a good blogger! Being on vacation didn't exactly help with the blogging but it certainly did inspire the writing! Speaking of which...

The sights, sounds, and smells of a new place really revived the inspiration for me and I brought back to life one of my earlier stories I have written. I mean, this particular story was written well before Flightless Bird even and I hope to one day have it released along with my other novels. Even the lifestyle of where I was re-inspired me to write even more to that one story. Although the lifestyle of the south wasn't really for me it still was a great experience for me to practically live there for 5 weeks and really take in the surroundings. You can definitely expect more writing and that is a 100% guarantee! I don't think I will ever stop writing and all my travels will only fuel my passion.

Alright, I don't know if I have much else to announce except news about the interview. Be sure to watch it and see if any of your questions get answered!
